The first and foremost goal of the youth ministry is to “empower” the young people to
live as disciples of Jesus Christ in our world today.

We work to accomplish this by involving youth in:

Spiritual Events: We sponsor annual youth retreats as well as encourage attendance to quarterly
power workshops, youth rally’s, programs and services at our local church, district
& jurisdictional events.  Our youth are charged every second Sunday to fully engage the morning
worship service – They minister the entire service as their elders would on the Sunday…they
capably lead the congregation during invocation, scripture, praise & worship, spoken word,
hospitality & announcements.  This is designated as “Youth Sunday”.

Study of the Word of God: Opportunity to study and share as witnesses on Youth Sunday
as inspirational Speakers; Monday Family night - Where Life application topics are
addressed and interactive discussions ensue.  We also encourage participation in
Sunday school and Bible study.

Serving Others: The  young Adults have been involved as family night assistants, children's church
workers, as well as most are active as ushers, Audio/sound system operators,
musicians, choir members, participants during fund raisers or projects, etc.  The young
adults have taken initiative to sponsor outreach service to the community as well.

Social Activities: Fellowship through ski trips, sports activities, at our local church as well as
reaching out to jurisdictional and district events, etc.

We work to instill purpose in the lives of our youth and young adults, purpose in
relationship with Jesus Christ, as their Savior and Lord, and a press to lead by example
as disciples, characterized by a life of holiness expressed through sincere dedication, commitment,
devotion, worship, fellowship, stewardship, and witness.
